Sophia Chablau e Uma Enorme Perda De Tempo is a Brazilian rock band formed by Sophia Chablau, Téo Serson, Theo Cecato, and Vicente Tassara. Whether through chaotic live performances, eccentric records, or spontaneous interactions with audiences, the band explores the intersection between experimental rock and the poetic delicacy of Brazilian songwriting, using the power of music to bring people together, encourage unexpected encounters, and strengthen the independent music scene.
In 2021, the band released its self-titled debut album, produced by Ana Frango Eléctrico. In 2023, it followed with its second record, Música do Esquecimento, produced by Vitor Araújo. Both albums were released by the RISCO label.
Manu Julian is a singer, songwriter, visual artist, and illustrator. Her musical journey began in childhood as part of the project Pequeno Cidadão. Alongside her solo work, she is also a member of the bands Fernê and Pelados, both signed to the RISCO label.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists including Besouro Mulher, Gui Amabis, Varanda, Sophia Chablau e Uma Enorme Perda De Tempo, YMA, and Adrian Younge. She has also recorded music for feature film soundtracks, television series, and advertising campaigns.
Alongside her musical work, she has developed an artistic practice centred on drawing as a language of communication and a way of experiencing the world. Her work explores themes such as affection, everyday life, the symbols of daily routines, observational drawing, writing, and the creation of personal universes. This practice extends to illustrations, graphic design for vinyl records, posters and concert materials, book and album covers, visual identities, editorial projects, as well as comic strips and graphic narratives.
Since 2023, she has been performing Sentimental, her first original solo live show. The performance serves as an extension of the album currently in production, scheduled for release in mid-2026. Its songs reflect on the habits we keep, on loving or no longer loving someone, on exhaustion, the desire to be together or alone, on sensitivity, crying in the shower, and everything that hurts, moves us deeply, or is eventually forgotten. It is a work that seeks meaning in the everyday, revealing the beauty found in ordinary moments while embracing the profound emotional impact of what might otherwise seem trivial.
