ABOUT THE MORDO MIA
They met in a collective therapy group for burnouts in Damaia de Cima in 2007 and, in 2023, released their debut album, Sente-se Primeiro, recorded with the Orquestra Metropolitana da Reboleira and supported by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores. In 2024, they won a band competition at the Universidade Católica de Lisboa, whose prizes – a Fender Jazz Master and a live radio session, canceled the day before, on Mega Hits FM – they interpreted as signs for a change. Chumbo Côncavo, released by Saliva Diva, is the culmination of that 180-degree turn, which immerses the most patient music lovers in nocturnal characters and shifting songs, inspired by the stories of Samuel Beckett, Roy Andersson, Ron Mael, Manuel Bívar, and Instagram.

STILL ABOUT MORDO MIA
Mordo Mia are Ana Eduarda (violin), António Pinto (bass), Bernardo Pereira (drums), João Roque (vocals and lyrics), and Simão Bárcia (guitar). Conservatory-trained musicians, YouTube-taught autodidacts, instrumentalists in cover bands in Mexican restaurants on Rua do Ouro, they share a fascination for noise, punk, fusion, soul, no wave, Zeca, and strawberry blunts.

Lucifer Pool Party

Noise, rock, frenetic melodies, unstable riffs — a Lucifer Pool Party concert moves from segments of nostalgic balladry to storms of noise.

A band born in Porto in 2019, in September 2023 they released their debut record “Lucifer Pool Party” through the recent label Coração de Boi.

The essence of LPP’s universe comes from its creator, José Vale, influenced by free improvisation and Japanese noise culture. Its core influences include projects such as Boredoms, Hanatarash, Keiji Haino, Yamatsuka EYE, Merzbow, Ground Zero, Frank Zappa, and Ornette Coleman. It believes in exploring the limits of the definition of music, in challenging the transition between written music and improvised music, and in the imagery of a refreshing party in flames.
