O Homem que só vê metal // Ernesto Poittevin
circus
Erva Daninha
clube erva daninha
sat.11.07
17h00
free
A solitary man peers into the world, leaning over a window sill to look within himself. The chaos proliferating from megacities spreads colors, sounds, and the textures of metal into the stormy imagination of our human character. Technology gives rise to fruits of pliers, spoons, and chains. The once-living tree feeds the air with rust. Only in wooden boxes hidden among scribbles and layers of newspaper do traces of human feelings remain. The man sees metal, but still feels wood. The spectacle creates powerful metaphors through circus skills, dance, and theatrical scenes that revolve around a man who explores himself in order to question the outside world.
This activity is supported by the Criatório program of Ágora Cultura e Desporto do Porto, Pláka, and the Funarte International Artistic Mobility Grant from Brazil. The Erva Daninha Company is supported by the Portuguese Republic – Culture, Youth and Sport / Directorate-General for the Arts.
