CRIATURA-DANÇA + BILRUS
Coming from the vibrant city of Barcelos, Elisabete Silva, Vítor Oliveira, Pedro Marques, Ricardo Carvalho and Carolina Alves came together around a shared vision, transforming ideas into live and shared sound.
Criatura-dança is a constantly evolving, self-discovering mutant being. It moves between pop/rock and electronic music without settling into one place: it can be noisy, tense and electric, or delicate and intimate — and it loves to dance.
Until now, the songs have always been written in Portuguese, with the narrative at the heart of the compositions.
The band made their debut with the release of the single “Acontecer”, followed by the EP “MUDA”, released in 2024.
Recorded at AMPStudio by Paulo Miranda, the release features collaborations with André Simão (electronic percussion on “Indigente”) and Carlos Fortes (electric guitar on “Embaraço”). Available digitally and in physical format, the EP marked the beginning of a run of live shows, including an appearance at the Festival Termómetro 2025.
“Nada no Lugar” is the band’s second EP, released on June 5. Recorded and mixed by Elisabete Silva (Criatura-dança) and mastered by Miguel Pinheiro Marques, the release explores the concept of existing “out of place”, a persistent state of disconnection and displacement in a world that carries on unaffected. It consists of five tracks and was preceded by the single “Tremor”.
Bilrus is a Portuguese band exploring the more alternative and experimental sides of rock, characterised by a strong presence of electronic production elements. The project brings together João Robim, Márcio Silva and Nuno Biltes, three musicians who met through classical music and later joined forces to explore new sonic territories. The band has performed live at venues such as Maus Hábitos (Porto) and Teatro Narciso Ferreira, as well as at Festival Sons de Vez 2025. In 2024, they released the EP “I Just Want To Be David”, mixed in 3D audio, followed by the live album “Live at Maus Hábitos” in 2025. The band’s most recent release is the album “Unamused”, released in 2026.
