ben&G
ben&G is an emerging band from Greater Porto, formed by Rúben Pérola and Manuel Gonçalves. The duo came together after a 2024 writing camp organised by the label Pluma. The group found common ground between the worlds of Pop and Hip-Hop. With a touch of theatricality, they explore everyday themes such as identity, love and excess, often with a contagious contemporary kitsch energy.
After releasing four singles throughout 2025, ben&G now present their debut album, “Sem Pressão”. The audience can expect a lively and fun energy, in a style that brings an unusual band-driven twist to Hip-Hop.
O Simples Mente
O Simples Mente is an artist and music producer who found in words a good opportunity to escape daily overthinking. He introduced himself to the world in 2019 with a live performance of the original track Girassol, and since then has explored different sounds within his poetic universe. In 2021, he joined forces with Leexo to produce a collaborative EP, Vino Blanco at 4AM. This “bedroom pop” work was performed live in venues such as Musicbox and Passos Manuel. In 2023, he released O Puto, with Marrquise. Produced by the duo between rehearsal rooms and creative retreats, it was considered one of the year’s best EPs by the platform Música sem Capa. In 2024, he released the single “CASTELOS” and collaborated on various projects, including the book 50 ABRIS: um livro sobre liberdade and the album Love & Courage. His music reflects the way he sees the world — “If I don’t write what I think, I forget it later” — marked by fresh flows and melodies. In 2025, he released the single “ARRENDAR” and later “VENTOSO”, marking his first collaboration with the label Biruta Records. This is followed by the single “SEM SABER SENTAR”, the final preview before the EP “ATROPELEI-ME” — a record shaped by a spontaneous and emotional blend of conscious hip-hop, lo-fi and pop, avoiding fixed formulas and reflecting the artist’s creative liberation.
