With only a year of existence and their debut EP Scénic Saint Laurent released last December, Leonardo Polita and João Mendes Pinto have already done much to establish the identity of husbands. Somewhere between Girls 96 and the timeless LCD Soundsystem, the Porto duo (expanded to a trio for their live shows) intersects the classic romanticism of synth-pop with the blasé revival of electroclash and dance-punk’s pulsating rhythms, each song a call to cast aside everyday anxiety in exchange for release on the dance floor. They are currently preparing their debut full-length, to be released by Rotten Fresh.

José Rios and Diogo Costa make up Semivitae, a project originally conceived as a solo endeavour by José in 2022, which would eventually bring the two back together after sharing stages in the stoner quartet Peluche. Their initial focus on an equally rhythmic and melancholic post-punk sound on their debut full-length, Vultos Dançantes (2023), was deepened and expanded with its successor, Canções de Danação (2025): more exploratory, atmospheric and collaborative, while always keeping Braga as its point of departure.
