CHRISTMAS NIGHT CHRISTMAS NIGHT CHRISTMAS NIGHT CHRISTMAS NIGHT
This Christmas we welcome our first residency/performance (of many we hope will follow in the years to come). For this special inaugural edition, we bring together three artists who will blend theatre, music, dance, a deep sense of melancholy for inflatable objects left outside factories during the Industrial Revolution, and other art forms. We’re not entirely sure what to expect, but we’re excited to see everything unfold.

Clarisse Pinto (BR) holds a degree in Graphic Design and a master’s in Art and Design for Public Spaces. She has worked with performance since childhood through theatre, but discovered sonic drifting two years ago in the city of Porto through Noise Bombing. Clarisse is one of the founders of the open-projector initiative Amostra Grátis, at Praça da Alegria. She is the vocalist and drummer of Clarisse e os Desviados, and vocalist of A Magician and their Human Skeleton. She is a founding member of Associação Túnel and of Cooperativa Integral da Cesta.

Born in Porto but raised among the mountains, Ruca Costa took part in several musical projects in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, mostly involving barely audible punk music. These projects consistently brought together the same group of people, who later formed the cultural association Pé em Triste, of which he is a founding member. Within the association, he mainly focuses on cultural programming, organizing concerts throughout the year. He’s part of Galeria Incerteza and, in parallel, composes soundtracks for video and produces work for other bands.

Beatriz Oliveira is a multidisciplinary artist working across dance, film, and design. With 17 years of professional dance experience, she has been deepening her research into the body and its relationship with art. She studied Film at Escola Artística de Soares dos Reis, holds a degree in Graphic Design, and is currently completing a Master’s in Graphic Design and Editorial Projects at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto. This diverse background has enabled her to develop a hybrid approach in which body, image, and concept intersect. Her work explores the concept of Dance for All Bodies, fostering a space of experimentation and liberation where each body can express itself without formal impositions. Her practice starts from the body and its presence as a means of inquiry, seeking to challenge conventions and open new spaces for dialogue between art, identity, and perception.
