At Agra, we have a vegetable garden and meet monthly to take care of it and explore topics related to nature. With the garden in production and cold weather outside, we took the opportunity to watch the documentary “The Power of Gardens” - a documentary about how urban horticulture can contribute to the development of more regenerative and circular communities.

On a plot of land, between a tomato plant and a lemon tree, stories, knowledge, and lives are shared. The land gives birth to the social individual. The water that feeds it fertilizes the millennial experience of the union between human beings and the sense of community. More than food, gardens produce knowledge.

“The Power of Vegetable Gardens” is a documentary produced and directed by Ângela Rosa and directed by Henrique Mestre. It is part of the Equinócios 2025 program of the Municipality of Tavira and is an invitation to discover more about the knowledge of the land.
