P'ra lá de Hollywood — Visita guiada ao Bairro dos Poetas
A map and an audiowalk guided by several voices inhabiting the area surrounding the garden of the Campo Alegre Neighbourhood Residents’ Association.
The walking dramaturgy brings together the richness of the local history, full of contrasts, with the stories of its residents, who claim presence and curatorial authorship in this cartography. Mansions and mausoleums, streets named after poets and their poems, the Association’s 50th anniversary, the largest synagogue in the Iberian Peninsula, those who sleep in Agramonte, the park’s little rabbits, the “newcomers” to Espaço Agra, those who were already here and those who have left.
About the session
An open visit to the Poets’ Neighbourhood (or Hollywood) led by Mónica Zickermann, teacher, deputy director and head of institutional relations at the German School of Porto. She holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Porto, a master’s degree in German Medieval Literature, and previously taught at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. The visit will be followed by a community snack at Espaço Agra.
The first session is sold out, followed by a community snack at 4:15pm in the Espaço Agra cafeteria.
