In this session, several films made by the children of Bairro do Lagarteiro will be screened. After the projection, the children will be invited to share their experience — reflecting on the creative process, the challenges they encountered, and their perspective on the neighborhood where they live. The screening will be followed by an open conversation with the participants about the project’s development.

The project involves the creation of short films with children from Bairro do Lagarteiro, aged between 10 and 14. The content of the films is entirely decided by the children, who — with the support and guidance of the project team — will film their neighborhood, portraying their daily lives. Through weekly workshops with guest filmmakers, the children will learn about shooting, storytelling, and editing techniques, expanding their knowledge and developing new perspectives on the world around them. These sessions foster creativity, artistic expression, teamwork, self-confidence, and critical thinking, offering the children an opportunity to tell their own stories through cinema.
