Parque Império is an indie rock and post-punk band with elements of traditional Portuguese music, founded in Porto in the winter of 2022. The band is made up of Xico Apolónio (guitar and vocals), Ivo Arroja (drums), Joana Mont'Alverne (keyboards, concertina, and vocals), and Rui (bass). Together, they forge a defiant musical identity through anthemic shouts, heavy rhythms, noise pop, and a raw, uncompromising attitude.
In 2024, the band released the EP Pop-Frustração and the single Educação Flop.
Horror Importa-se is Parque Império's latest EP, released on 29 May and preceded by the music video for the single Raio ou Canto Libertino, which premiered on 22 May.
The EP continues the band's raw aesthetic and uncompromising spirit. Isostasia, Raio ou Canto Libertino, Horror Importa-se, and Gregário make up the tracklist. Nothing more to say.
