It has been some time since Martim Braz Teixeira lent his keyboards to the psychedelia of Mighty Sands and founded Spring Toast Records, but the solo path he has developed over the past decade under the alter ego Jasmim – somewhere between the historical legacy of Portuguese popular music and the sun-drenched fullness of North American folk – has earned him three albums warmly embraced by both audiences and critics.
As already demonstrated with Acordado ou a Sonhar (2021), Martim moves between guitar and piano across the nine tracks of Dias em Branco, while marveling at the beauty of life and at how much of it we waste in the grey monotony of everyday life.
