Curbside Lambsear is the collaboration between Annabelle Mödlinger and Magdalena McLean. Together, they explore rough textures and soft intentions, weaving elements of pop, folk, and improvisation with influences drawn from drone, dub, and post-punk.
The project began as a way for Magdalena and Annabelle to experiment with writing music together, using their early sessions to learn new instruments and explore recording techniques and music production through digital audio workstations (DAWs).
Their music is the result of time spent together in the studio, fusing disparate influences into sonic collages. Phone notes, poems written on public transport, field recordings, sample loops, rehearsal voice memos, and string melodies merge, realign, and occasionally coalesce into songs.
