NÃO SE PASSA NADA ÀS SEGUNDAS: CARIÑO MUERTO NÃO SE PASSA NADA ÀS SEGUNDAS: CARIÑO MUERTO NÃO SE PASSA NADA ÀS SEGUNDAS: CARIÑO MUERTO
Based in Portugal, Cariño Muerto started as a band after the arrival at this country of the Mexican vocalist – and also visual artist – Lorena Sequeyro. Along with guitarist and composer João Delicado, both began rehearsing with some old drum machines, with Lorena singing and playing not only the synthesizer, but also theremin, thunder drum, melodica, among other additions to the sound. They soon felt the need for a third member, which would become Eduardo Alves. With previous experience in punk rock, rock 'n' roll, and heavy metal bands as a vocalist, and having already toured Europe extensively and given several shows, Eduardo accepted with a great sense of mission the challenge of leaving his comfort zone to play a second synthesizer – that little beast called the MS-20. Shortly after, in 2022, they recorded their debut EP entitled La Gran Virtud Del Peligro, which led them to play regularly not only in the underground circuit in Portugal, but also to do some dates in Spain, in addition to a shy appearance on the playlist of the KEXP radio program Mechanical Breakdown.

With a very unique fusion of dark/coldwave, minimalist synthesizers, exotic rhythms and even some pop melodies, along with a certain post-punk aura and a strong stage presence, the end of 2025 was marked by the release of the double single Abismo Infernal on 7’’ vinyl by Lux Records, in anticipation of their first full-length album <Ciudad Dinamita, which will see the daylight in 2026.
