Luís Lucas (Porto, 1997) is an artist of doubt — he doodles, paints, sings, plays, improvises, writes, and composes. He believes that the truth of what is said lies in the complete opposite of what was said, or in the silence of the other who falls quiet to listen — or more likely, it fled upward to the leafy treetops, or surely, surely downward to the bottom of Álvaro’s next glass. Surely, surely it isn’t in the mouth or mind of the one speaking — there, only teeth and wounds and secrets. The truth of what is said may not even be in the air or the dust that settles on the ground, on tables and streets after people gather to laugh, look, and love.
Album release concert for his new record, “CORTA AS ASAS PAVÃO, VOA!”, released on August 30 of this year.
