Velatura Festival is an international magic festival taking place for the first time in the city of Porto on October 3 and 4. It proposes magic as the starting point for a weekend of learning, programming and community.

With a strong focus on specialised training, the festival aims to create a space for learning, exchange and critical reflection. Through conferences led by international practitioners, Velatura positions itself as a meeting point for professional and pre-professional magicians, while keeping its doors open to anyone interested in learning more about magic.

The festival also features a programme that establishes a relationship with the city and the community that hosts it. It aims to highlight artists developing their work within the Portuguese context, bring magic closer to new audiences, and involve the local community in the artistic proposals taking place in its territory. To this end, a partnership has been established with the Campo Alegre Neighbourhood Association to foster this connection.

More than a festival, Velatura presents itself as a meeting point for the community through magic — a place where knowledge is shared, methodologies intersect, and new relationships are built between artists, audiences and territories.
