At Agra, we have a garden with five beds of vegetables and aromatic herbs — beds that have been gradually built over time by Agra residents during our monthly garden gatherings. Throughout the process, we’ve had the invaluable guidance and enthusiasm of Filipa Almeida from @jardins_al_dente.
The beds were fertilized with compost produced right here, made from kitchen and bar food scraps, creating a direct relationship between growing and consuming.
During harvest seasons, the produce is shared with the community, and some plants are used in Agra’s kitchen to enrich dishes with flavors grown just next door.
More than just a growing space, the garden has become a place for connection, learning, and pause — where participants find time to slow down, be present, and reconnect with nature in the middle of the city and busy days.
In this session, we’ll continue and complete the autumn plantings, adding two new beds to our garden.
The garden sessions are open to everyone interested in joining, with or without experience :)
