Toni is how António Rebelo’s friends address him, and this is how he presents himself within the musical universe — simply and among friends. The album Década da Toca do Coelho brings together a set of songs composed during the transition into adult life, reflecting this clash with the world and an attempt to order it (and oneself). The song arrangements were developed around an idea of DIY naïveté, and the collaborative recording process made it possible to reach this imagined world. It recalls elements of Portuguese protest song, MPB, and Anglophone alternative pop.
On stage, he performs singing and playing guitar, accompanied by some of his companions on this journey: Leonor Cabrita (Orca) on keyboards, Bá Álvares on electric bass, and Miguel de Miguel on electric guitar, all contributing backing vocals and percussion.
